I was very involved with a lot of extraJun 06 2012Math
I was very involved with a lot of extra curricular actives including playing sports and a lot of community service. I visited Marist more than 3 times and worked hard in school! I also would suggest doing a shadow day at Marist to get the feel of a day in the life of a Marist student.

I believe that Marist does not require SAT scores. Write a unique essay and participate in extracurriculars or volunteer service.

Show that you are interested in being involved inJun 06 2012Education
Show that you are interested in being involved in a "community." Extra curricular activities and leadership positions are definitely a plus! Visit the school, do a shadow day, and talk to an admissions counselor - they want to know that you are REALLY interested in being part of our school, so make your interest known.
SAT: 1925 Female
I was deferred earlyJun 06 2012Biology
I was deferred early action. So I took a ride up to Marist and spoke to one of the admissions officers and I was accepted regular decision. I definitely think that helped! Also, make friends with the tour guides and admissions staff!!!!! My friendships with them helped get me accepted.
ACT: 24 SAT: 1790 Female
I actJun 06 2012Psychology
I actually applied early action and was deferred, and was put in the regular admittance pile to be considered. For me, I had the grades and activities to get in, I just needed to show them me. I sent an e-mail to someone at the college introducing myself and telling them what happened, why I love the school, and why if accepted I would definitely be coming. I received my acceptance letter a few days later. My advice is be passionate and go for what you want in life, for me it helped me get into Marist.
